Public schools don't enforce a specific educational culture

Public schools accept a wide variety of folks & are committed to the liberal ideal of not enforcing a particular view on kids. They don’t make use of Techniques to scale an opinionated educational culture, except perhaps certain teachers within their specific classrooms.

Absent a clear school-wide culture, public schools may default to reflecting the educational norms of the surrounding culture, which may not be aligned with a school’s stated educational aims. Subcultures with differing views on education often form within the school, such as the classic tropes of nerds, jocks, etc.

On the flip side, exposure to diversity is clearly valuable.
